Where Sue went

Sue is a healthy female. She was tracked for 129 days between August and December. On the map below, the coloured line connects locations where Sue’s PTT was detected. Sue went on feeding trips mostly south, south-west of Seal Rocks and up to 180 kilometres away. She always returned to Seal Rocks to rest and suckle her pup. It is not shown in the map, but after her pup weaned in October, Sue went on a longer trip down the west coast of Tasmania. While feeding there, she rested several times at Reid Rocks. She returned to Seal Rocks in late November to have her next pup.
