Teeth

Seals hunt smaller animals in the sea. Their teeth look like dog’s teeth. They have long powerful stabbing teeth called canines. Their back teeth have many points that help them hold onto struggling fish, squid and octopuses.

Their teeth are good at catching prey but they have problems chewing. They mostly catch animals that don’t need chewing. When they catch big fish, they throw the fish around to rip out large chunks of flesh.
