Feeding

Fur seals catch their prey under water. They dive down and use their large eyes and whiskers to find swimming fish, squid and cuttle fish. They also search the sea floor for octopuses and cryptic fish.

If their prey is too large to swallow, they take it to the surface. At the surface, they grip the prey with their teeth and toss it around ripping off pieces of flesh.
